The Back to School Community Bash is an annual community celebration dedicated to helping students and families start the school year prepared, confident, and connected. Hosted each year by Jay Mack Community Foundation in downtown Greensboro, the event brings together families, community organizations, educators, volunteers, and local leaders for a day of resources, support, and fun.

Hosted each year at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro, the event brings together families, community organizations, educators, volunteers, and local leaders for a day of resources, support, and fun.
More than just a back-to-school event, the Bash serves as a community hub where families can access school supplies, educational resources, family services, wellness information, and opportunities that support long-term success. Attendees enjoy free haircuts, face painting, live entertainment, giveaways, guest appearances, community resource vendors, and family-friendly activities designed to create a positive and memorable experience.
Through strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, businesses, schools, and service providers, the Back to School Community Bash helps bridge gaps, remove barriers, and ensure students have the tools and support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

About Jay Mack Community Foundation
The Jay Mack Community Foundation is a Greensboro-based nonprofit organization committed to transforming lives through education, empowerment, and community engagement. Founded in 2022, the Foundation works to strengthen families, support youth development, and create opportunities that improve the well-being of individuals throughout the community.
